Ulas Basar Gezgin

Ulas Basar Gezgin is a social science researcher and an academic with more than a decade of teaching experience in various areas such as communication, psychology, education, economics, cognitive science, anthropology and linguistics in various institutions in Turkey, Vietnam/Australia, Thailand and Malaysia/US. Dr. Gezgin has published 10 books and taught Cross-Cultural Psychology, Philosophy of Education, Comparative Education, Communication with Children, Theories of Personality, Communication Theories and Research Methods courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. Apart from his academic works, he has written regular columns for various newspapers; and contributing to literature by his poetry, lyrics and essays. On January 2014, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor title in Applied Communication (psychology of communication, intercultural communication and social media studies) by the Higher Education Council. He serves as the scientific referee for five scholarly journals, including The Journal for Critical Education Policy Studies, which is indexed by ERIC.
