Donor Privacy Statement

The Middle East Institute respects the privacy of its donors. Their personal information is accordingly protected. The organization does not sell or trade its mailing lists. The Middle East Institute will use information that donors provide only to share with them other information, on its programs, events, and publications; to communicate its fundraising goals; and to acknowledge donations. A donor who prefers that a contribution not be acknowledged or wishes to be removed from the organization’s mailing lists should contact Kevin Cowl at 202-785-1141, extension 213, or at kcowl@mei.edu.

 

Confidentiality Statement

The Middle East Institute recognizes its responsibility to protect the privacy of our current and prospective donors. It holds information concerning them in strict confidence. Records relating to our donors and information about them are deemed confidential, and they are protected as a matter of policy. The use of information for political or commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. Any employee who violates this policy is subject to disciplinary action, including termination of employment. Any individual or organization that either violates this policy, or jeopardizes the privacy of any individual or organization affiliated with the Middle East Institute by using information inappropriately will be denied further access to such information.
