Degang Sun (Gary) is currently a senior visiting researcher at Middle East Centre of St. Antony's College, University of Oxford and Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, UK. Since 2006, he has been an associate professor of Political Science and a senior researcher at the Middle East Studies Institute, Shanghai International Studies University. Before that, he was a post-doctoral researcher at the Center for American Studies at Fudan University. He earned his Ph.D. in International Affairs from Shanghai International Studies University. Hi research interest covers International Security Theory, Middle East Security and US Middle East policy.
