Brian C. McK. Henderson

Brian C. McK. Henderson is the founding partner of Henderson International Advisors, LLC. He has devoted over forty-three years to the international and domestic financial services industry. His unique expertise includes senior international client relationships in both public and private sectors, as well as senior management experience and corporate governance.

Mr. Henderson spent the major part of his career at Merrill Lynch & Co. serving 23 years in various capacities including: Director of Communications Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, Senior Vice Preisent Merrily Lynch International, Executive Assistant to the Chairman and President of Merrill Lynch & Co., Vice Chairman Merrill Lynch Europe, Middle East and Africa (London-based from 2000-2005) and Chairman of Global Public Sector. He served on the boards of Prime Merrill S.p.A. (Italy), an asset management company associated with FIAT and Monte dei Paschi di Siena, and Merrill Lynch South Africa (Pty) Ltd.

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Henderson served 14 years with the Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. Following the completion of the Chase Management Training Program, he was first assigned to the Institutional European Banking Division. Subsequent responsibilities included Director and Vice President for Sub-Saharan Africa, Vice President for Chase Visa Travellers Checks, and Marketing Vice President for the Chase Investment Bank. He also served as board member for Banque Ivoirienne du Développement Industriel, Ivory Coast, and Chase Bank Cameroun, S.A.

Currently, Mr. Henderson serves as a senior advisor to Rockefeller Capital Management, non-executive Chairman of Agustea Bunge Maritime Ltd., a joint venture between Augustea Holding S.p.A. and the Bunge Group. He also serves as an Independent Director for Banque Marocaine du Commerce Extérieur/BMCE Bank of Africa, also serving as a Member of the Comité Risques. He recently joined the Advisory Board of the law firm Cremades & Calvo Sotelo, Madrid, Spain.

Mr. Henderson’s not-for-profit boards include: Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Atlantic Council of the United States, Washington D.C., Chatham House Foundation, Inc., Honoring Nations Board of Governors, Project on American Indian Economic Development, JFK School of Government, Harvard University, and Trustee of the Fort Apache Heritage Foundation, White Mountain Apache Tribe, Arizona.

In fulfilling his civic responsibilities to the City of New York, Mr. Henderson served on the Ethics and Policy Committee of the DDC for the First Judicial Department, Supreme Court Appellate Division, State of New York. Past board service included the Board of Trustees for the National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution, and trustee of the American Indian College Fund.

Mr. Henderson is a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He also attended the University of Barcelona and Edinburgh University. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French, with a working knowledge of German and Russian.

Mr. Henderson is married, father of three daughters and resides in New York City and Sun Valley, Idaho.
