On September 20, 2017, The Middle East Institute convened experts from development and relief organizations and scholars on Saudi Arabia and Yemen for a roundtable discussion with Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, director of the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief and Aid (KSRelief). Dr. Al Rabeeah discussed the structure and capabilities of KSRelief, its efforts to address the health crisis in Yemen, and other humanitarian challenges in the Middle East including relief for Syrian refugees. He explained the work KSRelief undertakes in partnership with the UN system, the United States (USAID and OFDA), and with European and other partners.
