Tingyi Wang is a PhD candidate in the Department of International Relations at Tsinghua University. He received a BA degree in Arabic language and literature from Peking University. He has studied at Cairo University and the University of Oxford. He is a visiting scholar at University of Cambridge (2013-2014), and will be a visiting scholar at American University of Sharjah (2014-2015). His research interests include: Gulf-Pacific Asia relations, comparative politics in Gulf, Sino-Arab relations, and Islamic law.
