Teertha Samal is an independent researcher, residing in Singapore. She was a Visiting Associate at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR), Singapore and her areas of interest include Foreign Policy, International Security, Political Violence in South Asia and the role of gender in Political Violence. She earned an M.Sc. in International Relations from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
