Dr. Nelia Hyndman-Rizik’s research specialty is the Lebanese Diaspora. Her doctorate examined migration from the village of Hadchit in North Lebanon to
America and Australia and the transformation of gender roles and cultural identity. Her current research, with the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia, is in migrant health, working with Arabic speaking and new and emerging communities in Australia.
