Dania Thafer

 

Ms. Dania Thafer is an Independent Researcher residing in Washington, DC and is originally from Kuwait. Ms. Thafer earned a Master's degree in Political Economy from New York University with a specialization in the Middle East and a Bachelors of Science in International Business and Finance at the University of Tampa.  She published a monograph entitled Iraqi Oil: A Looming Shift in Regional Dominance with the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies. Currently, her research interest lies in understanding the political economy of the burgeoning relations between the Gulf States and the Asia Pacific. Her other research interests include oil security, sovereign wealth funds, and GCC foreign policy.
