Chansok LAK received a B.A in International Studies in honors program from Department of International Studies (DIS), Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL), and in Law from University of Cambodia (UC). In 2011, he obtained a certificate qualifying in reconciliation processes in comparative perspective from Global Politics Summer School jointly offered by Center for Global Politics of Freie Universität Berlin, University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Vietnam National University Hanoi, and Royal University of Phnom Penh. Additionally, he has been working as a university lecturer at DIS/IFL and a researcher at the Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP) since 2010. Moreover, he has been a freelance translator and interpreter (Khmer to English and vice versa) since the early 2011. His research interests cover international relations (IR), law, reconciliation processes in comparative perspective (particularly transitional justice in Cambodian context), and ASEAN.
