Arabic Beginner II

NOTE: This class is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for 1 hour each. The course will end on June 7, 2021.

Requisites for this course: Intro to Arabic and Beginner I.

In Beginner II, students continue to practice basic vocabulary and grammar learned in the previous courses. This class covers chapters 6-8 in Al-Kitaab Part I. Grammatical concepts include the past tense, negation, conditionals, the comparative, and further development of ordinal numbers. New vocabulary is introduced across various topics such as Arab culture, government, religion and relationships. Lessons focus on describing people, activities, and events in both past and future tense. By the end of this course, you will be able to hold conversations using practical vocabulary at a novice high level per the ACTFL scale.

Textbook Required: Al-Kitaab Part 1.
