Students who have completed all Beginner, Intermediate levels and Advanced I are eligible for this course.
Arabic Advanced II integrates Modern Standard Arabic specially tailored to the needs of advanced students. Material will be learned thorough coverage of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills with clear grammar explanations and lessons structured to provide opportunities for further practice for Advanced students. Topics of discussion will include: Arab minorities; education; religion; the Arab woman; economics; politics; military matters; and the environment. While incorporating humorous, realistic dialogues reflecting educated speech among Arabs, to build up strong and practical communication skills. By the end of this course, students are expected to converse at an advanced-low level according to the ACTFL scale.
