Arabic Media Advanced
Students who have completed Arabic Media should enroll in this course. Prerequisites: Intro to Arabic, Beginner Levels 1-4, Intermediate Levels 1-3, Advanced Arabic levels I and II, and Arabic Media.
Arabic Media Advanced, also known as Media Arabic II, is for students who have completed Arabic Media. This course uses relevant forms of media to build students’ understanding of the Arabic language. Authentic current texts, videos, broadcasts, and other forms of media are introduced to students so that they are familiar with language and culture to further develop fluency. Students interact using advanced sentence structure and conversations at this level include a wide range of vocabulary. Students should be able to discuss topics such as politics, culture, and religion, especially as discussed in the media. By the end of this course, students should be able to converse at the advanced high level of the ACTFL scale.
